STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: This service is a community-based facility operated by Ronanstown Women’s CDP Crèche. The purpose of this service is to provide a part-time facility for children aged 2 – 5 years. We open 50 weeks per year and daily from (Monday to Friday). We have capacity to cater for 25 children at any one time and our ratios are listed below. We provide ECCE and NCS Programme.

Ethos: The health and wellbeing of the children in our care is central to who we are and what we do. We provide a service where all children are equal regardless of gender, race, religion or disability within our capabilities and resources.

Mission Statement: We aim to create a safe, friendly, caring and stimulating child cantered service for the children in our care. We provide flexible, sessional care for children between the ages of two and five years old, whose parents attend educational and development courses with Ronanstown Women’s CDP Crèche. We also provide emergency, occasional, and drop-in service for the wider community after this primary need is met.

The Ronanstown Women’s CDP Crèche is committed to developing a curriculum that creates a child central, play based environment, which enables young children to actively pursue their own learning. Adults, who will provide balanced intervention and support to encourage positive attitudes towards learning, will facilitate this.
