Profile: Daiva Baltramonaitiene
Originally from Lithuania, I have lived in Ireland since 2005.
I am an educationalist by nature and I have worked with all age groups as a teacher, including the third level and senior students. Nevertheless, most rewarding I found working with young children: I started my professional career as a preschool room assistant before I took up my third level education back in 1989. I have been passionate about taking an active part in early years education since and I have been working within a management role since 2008.
I have never left the path of continuous professional development: in 1993 I was awarded BA (Hons.) in Germanic Languages: The English Language and Literature (Vilnius University), then BA (Hons.) in Early years Education and Care (IT Carlow) in 2015. I am the holder of the following certificates: High Scope Curriculum, LINKS Inclusion Programme, NEYAI Broad Based Curriculum Implementation, Siolta Implementation and a number of others. I am a believer in education, but only if theory has been put into practice and has positively affected lives of little ones in our care. I am privileged to be a part of a professional team the effort of which is not always possible to measure, but our daily performance speak loud enough when it comes to supporting parents and especially children in their journey towards their full potential.
