About Us

Lilliputs Preschool has capacity for 7 preschool children. Preschool starts at 9am and finishes at 12pm. We have two preschool teachers working in the room with the children and we feel that these small ratios are of great benefit to the children. We regularly go out and about on walks and we explore our community. We are so lucky to have the beach and playground right on our doorstep.
Laytown Resource House - Lilliputs

The preschool takes a holistic approach in educating the child focusing on play and also emotional wellbeing. The children enjoy leading the themes of play and staff enjoy further enhancing and developing activities from the children’s areas of interest and enjoyment. The voice of the child plays an important role when planning learning experience. Parents also play an important role in our service, as parents are considered the primary educators. We work in partnership with parents. We uploaded photos and details about what activities the children get up to each day to Childspath and staff are in regular contact with parents. Parents regular are invited in to the preschool and we operate an open-door policy.

After school

Lilliputs afterschool has capacity for 15 children providing a service for school going children from 1.40 to 5.30pm daily. The FRC collect the children by car and transport the children to the FRC. The children will be provided with a hot nutritious meal and snack for their tea. The children help with their homework and engage in indoor and outdoor activities as visits to the local park and the beach. After school workers organise activities as anti-bullying, confidence building and recreate recycling art work to name a few.
