Profile: Manju Adhikari
Hi, my name is Manju Adhikari and I am married with two daughters who attend secondary school. I am originally from Delhi, India. I have been living in Ireland since 2003.
Presently, I am one of the Assistant Manager’s in Daoine Óga Childcare. I have been working with Daoine Óga since 2012.
My journey with Daoine Óga began when I joined the team while studying for my QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education. Throughout my work placement, I worked with nursery – school age children. I learned valuable skills from the staff members while observing them and fell in love with the profession. I was thrilled when I got an opportunity to join the Daoine Óga team in 2012 as an Assistant Childcare Practioner. I was eager to learn more about the profession, so I went to study further and gained my Level 6 in 2013 in Early Childhood Care & Education. Since then, I have progressed to various roles, Assistant, Room Leader and finally Assistant Manager. Over time I have worked with all ages, babies up to afterschool children and this has given me the opportunity to adapt my teaching style to suit the needs and interests of all age groups. Over the years, I have enjoyed my journey. I have attended various workshops i.e. Children’s First, Siolta, Aims sensory, Barnardos, Aces and Autism gaining valuable knowledge and skills that is essential to provide high quality learning experiences to the children. I love teaching the children new things as well as giving them freedom to explore and to have fun!
Every day is a new adventure and brings new challenges, I look forward to each day.
