Profile: Trudie Moore
Hi! My name is Trudie Moore and I am the manager of Trim Community Childcare CLG and have been for the past 4 years.I have a beautiful son named Evan and a very supportive family who have always encouraged me to follow my career path and be the best that I can be while doing a job I love.
I have been working in the childcare sector for 12 years all under the Crann umbrella and I have enjoyed every minute of it. In my 2009, I completed my BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Education in D.I.T. I started working in Daoine Oga in 2009, as a room Leader and there I gained experience working with children of all age groups, from the nursery right up to afterschools.
I engaged in numerous CPD courses and was able to upskill in areas such as Siolta and Aistear while working here. After returning from Maternity leave in 2015, I moved to our other sister crèche Simonstown Community Childcare for a year working as the assistant manager. I gained so much experience here, working alongside the team to achieve our Level 4 Siolta Validation award and in June 2016 when a Managers role became vacant in Trim Community Childcare I jumped at the opportunity to progress further within the Crann Support Group organisation.
While working as a manager within the organisation I have engaged in the LINC programme and also became the services Inclusion Officer. I work alongside a fantastic management team, who offer their support when needed. I have gained so much knowledge and experience while working as a manager and I have a fantastic team of 40 early years’ professionals working with me daily.
I enjoy coming into work every day and meeting the children. I love to hear how their little minds work and the stories they tell. Watching them grow and from babies right up to afterschool’s children is such a privilege and I find it very rewarding.
