About Us

In partnership with the Department of Employment and Social Protection, Ballivor Community childcare continue to provide a dedicated high quality community childcare scheme. Our aim is to highlight childcare as a profession, provide training support to long term unemployed. Provide a high standard of training enabling participants to achieve a recognised qualification and equip them to avail of a professional career.

Provide an Education Coordinator to support the learners during their training. Our education Coordinator also delivers in-house Manual handling, Fire Safety and QQI level 5 and 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education. All training is funded by the DEASP. We support local community childcare facilities in Co. Meath to deliver affordable quality childcare. Local communities supported are Ballivor, Trim, Navan, Athboy, Kells, Kilmainhamwood, Baconstown, Duleek, Dunshaughlin, Laytown, Bettystown, Rotoath, Summerhill, Simonstown and MTW.

The scheme enables participants to enhance and develop both their technical and personal skills which can be used in the workplace.

The scheme also provide placements for auxiliary staff in support to the childcare services, these include:

Cook, Cleaner, Reception, Maintenance and Bus drivers

Ballivor Community Childcare CLG

Eligibility:
People of 21 yrs or over who are receiving social welfare payments for 1 year or more, and people of 18 years or over in receipt of disability-related payments or a member of the travelling community are eligible for the scheme.

Hours:
19.5 working hours per week
Suitable candidates will be offered a maximum of a three year place on a Community Employment Scheme where they will be given “on the job” work experience and will part-take in relevant training.

Deirdre Kelly

CE Co-ordinator

Deirdre first commenced with the Company in 2004, Deirdre has a wealth of knowledge in relation to recruitment and as such deals with all aspects of recruiting participants from Advertising vacant positions, interviewing candidates, organising all relevant documents prior to and following  commencement.

Irene Farrell

CE Co-ordinator

Irene is a specialist in the area of Finance and an Ordinary Degree in Business Studies (Accounting). Irene has been a supervisor for the past 6 years and was part of the Finance team in the Crann Support Group prior to this. Over the years Irene has built up her knowledge in relation to the Childcare Services and the staffing needs in this sector.

Catherine Finney

CE Co-ordinator (Training and Education)

As a former Manager and Area Support Manager in the childcare sector with over 16 years of experience, Catherine has a vast amount of qualifications including BA Hons Degree in Early Childhood Education and Practice, Manual Handling and Fire Safety Instructor’s courses along with most recently achieving Child Protection.

Bridget Clarke

Assistant CE Co-ordinator

Bridget holds an ordinary degree in Business Studies (Management Finance) and has been with the company for over 10 years. Bridget started on our Crann CSP project where she worked in payroll in our accounts department.
